Catherine Ellyson holds a Master’s degree in Political Sciences and has studied management at HEC Montreal. She has extensive experience in research, teaching and organizing events. She has contributed with various research groups and agencies (Languages in Urban Communities – Integration and Diversity for Europe, Intergovernmental Affairs, Privy Council Office, Laboratory studies and social science research on water, and Laboratory Study Research on Federalism and institutions), and she has co-written many scientific and general publications on issues relating to federalism, institutions and Canadian public policy, municipal politics and citizen participation. In addition to projects completed with Bem & co., Catherine has acted as project manager for research on multilingualism in cities and for the evaluation of a program offered by the Polytechnic School of Montreal.
Mathilde Forest Rivière has a diverse experience in research, education and communication strategy. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Sciences (Université Laval) and a Graduate Diploma in Communication (Concordia University). She has been a researcher for the Institute EDS (Environment, Development and Society), the Canada Research Chair in Citizenship and Governance, as well as the Quebec Institute of International Studies. She has directed various research assignments, including cultural communities and on issues of gender equality. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, and has a keen understanding of issues affecting public policy, women’s issues, immigration/citizenship and environmental policies. Mathilde has over four years of experience as a journalist, and has worked at CBC/Radio-Canada.
